Our Polaris Ranger 1500XD Rock Sliders are built to take a beating and keep your ride protected. These low-profile sliders are designed to guard your plastics and help your machine glide smoothly over rocks that would otherwise cause damage. These Rock Sliders are designed to wrap all the way around to the top of the door and under the door frame. (see pictures) We have these wrapped all the way around the rocker panel for additional strength and great looks.

Crafted from durable 10-gauge plate steel, each slider is CNC laser-cut and precision-bent to match the contour of your vehicle and wrap all the way around to under the door. We finish them with a tough black powder coat for long-lasting performance and a sleek look. Each set includes threaded studs that mount directly to your factory frame for a secure fit. You’ll need to cut holes in your plastic panels to allow the studs to pass through cleanly. Once installed, just bolt the sliders onto the studs and reattach the lower skid plate bolts. All necessary hardware is included.
There are only three manufacturers of XD1500 rock sliders that hug the existing rocker panels closely and look factory, and only two are sturdy metal (AJK Offroad and Polaris). All the other manufacturers either include a step or a bar that sticks out from the cab. The last thing I need is to make this buggy wider (or lower). I like the look, the sturdiness, and the quality of the AJK Offroad rock sliders and that's why I chose them over the Polaris version.
I have three things I didn't like, hence the four star rating: 1) bolts should all be black oxide; 2) torx replacement screws should be longer, hardened torx button/flat heads. The supplied allen screws are going to get ground down and they'll end up a b*itch to remove. I ordered my own set, but had to come from China. No one in the US sells M6 torx button heads. They're all allens. What a PITA; 3) the instructions should be clear about the angle of the 1-1/2" holes drilled into the rocker panels. If you haven't drilled at the right angle, it is VERY difficult to line up the mounting studs with the frame tube and you'll need a generous application of rubber mallet. It took me an inordinate amount of time to get the studs properly fitted. Oh, and despite no instructions to do so, I used a small amount of blue Loctite on all fasteners.
Not a dislike for AJK, but dropping the skid plate is a major PITA and you should have a helper for this installation. That would be good to be stated in the instructions. Dropping can be done with one person, but not the reinstallation. I ended up using a floor jack with a piece of plywood to keep the skid plate up tight to the buggy so I could align it and reinstall the mounting hardware.
